How to Update Microsoft Outlook (Desktop, Web, and Mobile)

Update Outlook on Windows (Microsoft 365)

  1. Open Outlook
  2. Click File > Office Account
  3. Under Product Information, click Update Options
  4. Select Update Now
  5. Wait for updates to download and install
  6. Restart Outlook when prompted

Enable Automatic Updates

  1. Go to File > Office Account
  2. Click Update Options
  3. Select Enable Updates

Update Outlook on Windows (Standalone Version)

For Outlook 2021, 2019, or 2016 purchased separately:

  1. Open Settings > Windows Update
  2. Click Check for updates
  3. Install any available Microsoft Office updates
  4. Restart your computer if required
