Dynamics 365 without the open-ended ERP project
Business Central and Dynamics 365 Sales implemented as defined packs. A mandatory kickstart pack, then only the add-ons your business actually uses — each with a scope and a price agreed up front.
Business Central packs
Start with the kickstart pack — it is required on every Business Central deployment — then add only what your operation needs.
Kickstart (required first)
The foundational pack on every Business Central deployment: basic accounting, purchasing, and sales configured and ready to use. Every other Business Central pack builds on it.
Inventory & Advanced Inventory
Item setup, units of measure, costing, and stock management — with the advanced pack adding the deeper inventory capabilities that distribution and manufacturing businesses need.
Warehousing & Assembly
Warehouse locations, bins, and put-away and pick processes, plus assembly for businesses that build finished goods from component stock.
Planning & Purchasing
Demand and supply planning, plus purchasing workflows — with an advanced purchasing pack for organisations that need approvals and more structured procurement.
Project Accounting
Jobs, tasks, resources, and time and cost capture so project profitability is visible in the ledger, with an advanced pack for more complex project structures.
Fixed Assets, Expenses & Multi-Company
Asset registers and depreciation, employee expense capture, and multi-company setup for groups that need to run more than one legal entity in one tenant.
Dynamics 365 Sales packs
A lite CRM on Dynamics 365 Sales Professional, extended pack by pack — and optionally joined to Business Central so an order is only entered once.
Sales Kickstart (required first)
A lite, sales-focused CRM built on Dynamics 365 Sales Professional — the foundation pack every other Sales pack depends on.
Leads & Opportunities
Lead capture and qualification through to opportunity management, so the pipeline lives in one system rather than a shared spreadsheet.
Products
The product catalogue: products, price lists, and unit groups set up and imported, with product bundles grouping items together. The catalogue is then available from opportunities, quotes, orders, and invoices.
Quotes, Orders & Invoices
Creation, tracking, and management of quote, order, and invoice records — forms configured, custom fields added for your business rules, and entity-specific Word and PDF documents customised to match.
Marketing Lite
A light marketing capability alongside the CRM for organisations that need basic campaign and outreach tracking without a separate marketing platform.
Sales & Business Central integration
Connects Dynamics 365 Sales Professional to Business Central so a won opportunity becomes an order and an invoice without anyone retyping it.
What the pack model is designed to prevent
Predictable scope is not a marketing line here — it is the mechanism that keeps a mid-sized business out of a runaway implementation.
The open-ended ERP project with no ceiling
Each pack has a defined scope and a fixed price agreed before work starts. You know what the phase costs, and what is outside it, in writing.
Paying to configure modules nobody will use
The kickstart pack covers the foundation everyone needs. Everything beyond that is opt-in, so a services business is not paying for warehouse bin logic.
Go-live with data nobody trusts
Master data — items, price lists, unit groups, customers — is imported and validated as part of the relevant pack rather than left as homework for your finance team the week before go-live.
Quotes and invoices that look nothing like your brand
The quotes, orders, and invoices pack includes customising the Word and PDF document templates for those records, not just switching the entities on.
Nobody trained, so everyone goes back to the spreadsheet
Packs include the setup and the end-user training needed to actually use the capability. An unused module is a full write-off, not a partial one.
Sales and finance re-keying the same order twice
The Sales and Business Central integration pack connects the two so an opportunity flows through to order and invoice in one system of record.
How the engagement runs
Fit first, then pack selection, then implementation in dependency order.
Fit conversation
A short discussion about how you operate today — what you sell, whether you hold stock, whether you run projects — and whether Business Central, Dynamics 365 Sales, or neither is the honest answer.
Pack selection and fixed price
We map your requirements onto the kickstart pack plus the specific add-on packs that cover them, and quote the total as a fixed price before anything starts.
Kickstart implementation
The foundation goes in first: accounting, purchasing, and sales for Business Central, or core CRM for Dynamics 365 Sales. This is the base every later pack extends.
Add-on packs and data load
The chosen packs are configured in dependency order, with master data imported and validated as each one lands rather than all at the end.
Training, go-live and support
End-user training on the capabilities implemented, then go-live. Ongoing application support is available as a monthly plan at several service levels if you want a named route for user questions.
Licensing alongside the project
Dynamics 365 and Microsoft 365 licences can be quoted with the implementation so the whole cost sits in one proposal.
Microsoft licensing in the storeSecure the tenant it runs in
Business Central and Dynamics 365 sit behind the same identity as the rest of Microsoft 365. Hardening that identity is worth doing before your ledger lives there.
Microsoft 365 security implementationFrequently asked questions
Why is the kickstart pack mandatory?
It is the foundation the other packs configure against. In Business Central it covers basic accounting, purchasing, and sales; in Dynamics 365 Sales it is the core CRM setup. Add-on packs such as inventory, project accounting, or the product catalogue all assume it is already in place.
What does a Dynamics 365 implementation cost?
It depends entirely on which packs you take. Each has a fixed price, so the total is known once the pack list is agreed — that is the point of the pack model, and it is quoted in writing before work starts. Licensing is separate from implementation and is priced per user per month.
Is this fixed-scope, or can we customise?
The packs are deliberately fixed-scope and built around industry best practice, which may differ from how you work today. That is what keeps the price and timeline predictable. Genuinely bespoke requirements are possible but are scoped and quoted separately rather than folded silently into a pack.
Do you also handle the Dynamics 365 licensing?
Yes. Dynamics 365 licences can be quoted alongside the implementation so the licences and the project come from one place. Implementation is quoted separately from licensing so you can see what each part costs.
What happens after go-live?
Ongoing application support is available as a monthly plan at several service levels, giving end users a defined route for questions about the application itself. It is optional and separate from the implementation.
Should we use Business Central or just stay on our accounting package?
If your finance process is working and your only pain is a report or two, Business Central is a large answer to a small question. It earns its place when you are running inventory, projects, or multiple entities and the current system has stopped keeping up. We will tell you if that is not you.
